Perspective on antiferromagnetic iridates for spintronics

چکیده

Antiferromagnetic (AFM) iridates are recently discovered to be a fertile playground for exploring emergent phenomena relevant the intriguing interplay among multiple degrees of freedom, such as strong spin–orbit coupling, electron correlation, and crystal field effect. These offer interesting routes probing well controlling AFM order in iridate, which is essential spintronics. In this perspective, we will briefly review recent studies on that host large potential advancing reading (anisotropic magnetoresistance effect, etc.) writing (magnetic control order, functionalities We also discuss promising directions expanding research iridate based spintronics from perspectives material growth, manipulation protocol, characterization technique.
